Getting Started : Control Random Thoughts...

To think clearly in any situation we need to harness the energy of our mind. Mind's energy is wasted in random thoughts that keep appearing every moment.

Try this exercise:
Take some time off and go to a quiet place. Try being conscious of the thoughts that come to your mind. You will find that most of the time the thoughts that come to your mind are totally irrelevant to the situation you are in or some situation for which you are making some plans.

Resources :

The best books I have ever read that teache you to remain conscious in the present moment is Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" and Shannon Duncan's "Present Moment Awareness".

These books have knowledge that has been collected from several sources and of course the authors seem to have practised what they teach.

Developing a Structured Thinking Process

This blog is for developing processes for thinking and decision making in a structured manner.

These processes are not the types we study in typical courses in quantitative analysis studies. We will use the quantative tools wherever required. This site is to develop a thought process that can be inculcated in daily life. The intention is to study a large number of approaches documented in books and developed in organisations and to imbibe the key learnings to form a skill that can be learned as a programmed response to any situation.
